Master Tara Singh was born on 24 June 1885 in the village Harial in Rawalpindi District, now in Pakistan. His childhood name was Nanak Chand and his father’s name was Bakshi Gopi Chand, who by caste was a Malhotra, and a Hindu. His father was the village patwari, and his mother was Mullan Devi, a very pious lady. |
