London Sikh first Sikh to pull bus with hairs PDF Print E-mail

Manjit SinghLONDON: Manjit Singh, a British citizen has broken the world record for pulling a double-decker bus with his hair. He is the first Sikh to get the disctiction in his category.

Manjit Singh broke the Guinness World Record on Thursday by pulling the bus weighing 8.5 British tons for 21.2 meters (69.55 feet) across Battersea Park in London with ribbons attached to his hair.

The 59-year-old Singh  from Leicester earlier this year, succeeded in pulling a passenger aircraft weighing 7.4 tonnes a distance of 3.4 metres (11ft) using his ears. He already holds several other records, including one for pulling a double-decker bus with his hair, and another for lifting 85kg (187lb) with his ears.

The event was part of an estimated 200,000 people around the world who will come together and attempt a wide range of records in celebration of the fifth annual Guinness World Records Day.
